Understanding The TV Antenna Booster Concept
Your TV antenna can only do so much because each model and brand is limited to a particular range. When you add a TV antenna booster you are in essence adding to the antenna strength and boosting the television signal. In effect the booster strengthens the beam width of your antenna quite significantly.
To get the best out of your TV antenna booster you need to plug the antenna’s output into the booster. It has generally been agreed that in order to optimize booster effectiveness it should be connected directly to the antenna. Splitters can be added only after you have made the direct connection. This rule of thumb applies to both indoor and outdoor antennas. Make sure that your booster is installed as near as possible to where the antenna base rests.
When you want to install a TV antenna booster indoors, simply plug the power cord into the wall; now connect the antenna output into the corresponding outlet in the booster box. For outdoor antennas you can mount the booster onto the antenna base pole with a ‘U’ shaped rod and some bolts.
The way the TV antenna booster works is it captures signals from the nearest television antenna towers whenever electrical current is filtered through the booster.
